Wedding planners are responsible for a wide range of tasks, including creating a budget proposal, visiting potential venues, vetting and hiring vendors, outlining expectations for the big day, and offering creative alternatives.
They will work as a coordinator for your wedding day, ensuring that everything runs well, from the setup and breakdown to the management of all vendors.
Discussions with engaged couples about the finer details of their wedding (venue, music, cuisine, etc.). From the color palette to the rental of decorations and furniture to the placement of lights and other ambiance-affecting elements, the aesthetic of the wedding must be planned from beginning to end.
Meetings with photographers, videographers, florists, designers, DJs, musicians, and others. A wedding planner is responsible for scheduling tasks such as sending out invitations, following up on RSVPs, paying vendors and having difficult conversations with them to ensure they deliver on their promises. Setting up initial consultations with vendors, venues to negotiate and discuss wedding options on your behalf (wedding packages, a la carte planning, client preferences, wedding budget, etc.).
Facilitating the bride and groom’s timely arrival and preparation of wedding attire and other essentials. Getting up very early the morning of the wedding to check on the setup. Monitoring the wedding day preparations to ensure that everything runs smoothly (soundchecks, set-up checks, and more).
Locating and purchasing any items required locally. Palm fronds, blooms, welcome-aboard essentials, or any other last-minute necessities, such as nasi goreng and Bintang runs to the nearest Circle K.
All while remembering to protect those you care about. Notifying loved ones of unusual situations (backup location move, time for transportation, etc.).
They’ll go so far as to hire rain stoppers to ensure your big day stays dry. They would never jeopardize your special day.
