Each artwork is the result of the Midjourney AI Bot technology inspired by the creativity of human artists, resulting in breathtaking renditions of Balinese landscapes, seascapes, temples, and people. From Monet’s impressionist brushstrokes to Van Gogh’s bold colors and Michelangelo’s dramatic chiaroscuro, the AI algorithms mimicks the styles of the great masters.
On one hand, the AI algorithm combined significant elements of Bali, such as volcanoes, Balinese people, pagoda temple structures, rice fields, the sun, the beach, the sea, palm trees, hibiscus, and Balinese architecture overall. The AI even integrated details like the color of the tiled roofs of many local houses here.
On the other hand, the AI’s results reflect the style and mind of the artist who created the original artwork. We combined these two worlds by using a simple command for the AI bot: “Bali by artist name.” The resulting pictures come in four different versions; the single pictures are more defined, using more CPU power to calculate the output.
It’s hard to describe the feeling we had when the first results appeared on the digital canvas. We knew that most of these artists passed away a long time ago and might have never heard of Bali and its treasures. The AI-generated artwork invites us to consider the possibilities of the impossible, the idea of “what if…”
